Full Retreat Description
From the moment participants are picked up in Medellín or at the airport, a journey begins — not only physical, but also spiritual. A journey into sacred territory, a place that holds the soul, the body, and the heart with care.
Upon arrival, nature welcomes us with silence and pure air. A light and simple dinner is shared — the first meal of connection with the earth that sustains us.
At dusk, we gather in a circle. This is a time for introductions, where each person may name their own truth. Together, we open the portal for the spiritual work of the coming days, asking permission from the spirits of the land, the sacred plants, and the guardians to accompany and bless us.
The night is for rest — to listen to the wind, breathe deeply, and begin to inhabit silence. A first intimate step: to introduce oneself to the land, to look within, and to form the intention with which one has come.
At dawn, participants receive a natural purgative (a traditional cleansing medicine that empties and clears the digestive system). It is not only a physical release, but an invitation to ask:
- What do I wish to cleanse within myself?
After a light breakfast, the day opens into quiet. Time to be in nature, to walk barefoot, to touch the earth, to feel the water.
In the afternoon, we share plant baths, used traditionally to balance and harmonize energy, followed by a cleansing with fire to renew the spirit.
That evening, after dinner, we gather in a circle of word. With mambe (a preparation of coca leaf) and ambil (a tobacco paste used in ancestral dialogue), we weave a conversation guided by the spirit of the elders, the plants, and the land. Each word becomes a seed.
We rest with intention and a listening heart. The connection with the medicine begins to take form in silence.
At first light, a second purgative is offered, this one focused on the biliary system. It may bring vomiting — a way of releasing what is no longer needed from deep within.
After rest and a light breakfast, the day is spacious. In the afternoon, each participant will be received in an individual conversation — an intimate space to refine intentions, resolve doubts, and prepare the heart for the medicine.
That night, after a small preparation snack, we share another circle of word, and then enter the House of Remedy, the ceremonial heart of the territory, where the first ceremony with yagé (ayahuasca) will take place.
After the night’s work and the sunrise, participants return to their cabins for rest and nourishment. The body needs quiet; the spirit needs space to integrate.
In the afternoon, after lunch, we share integration activities — created with care, to open new understandings of what was lived in ceremony.
As night falls, a small snack is offered, followed by a circle of word where experiences and teachings are shared. From there, we step once more into the House of Remedy for the second yagé ceremony, opening another threshold of healing and vision.
The morning invites rest, silence, and nourishment. After breakfast, each person can choose contemplation, dialogue, or simply to be.
In the afternoon, we continue with integration — supporting each participant’s unique process of understanding and healing.
At night, we share a final snack, then gather for the closing circle of word. Here, we honor the journey walked together, give thanks to the medicines, the land, and each being who has accompanied us.
After the circle, we enter the last ceremony of the retreat: a spiritual farewell, and the planting of seeds for the life that continues.
After the closing ceremony, participants rest, share breakfast, and prepare their belongings. But more than anything, they carry home the seeds planted during the retreat.
In the afternoon, transportation will return everyone to Medellín or the airport.
During the weekend, each participant will receive:
- A cleansing within the ceremonial space.
- A body therapy to support healing, reconnection, and release.
- Natural medicines offered according to each person’s process.
This retreat is an invitation to remember — to return to the body, the heart, and silence. To be guided by the ancient wisdom of plants and the land. To walk with purpose and humility toward the deepest part of oneself.
